I do not reside in my leg, arm, heart, or stomach. My existence thrives in my brain. My body serves as a vehicle, an essential vessel upon which my entire existence hinges. It's the only chariot I'll ever possess, and therefore, it is incumbent upon me to care for it diligently.
This realization is the splendor of mindfulness practice. It facilitates the notion of self as distinct from the body and thoughts. Once this separation is discerned, the management of your body and thoughts becomes an intuitive process. The body and thoughts no longer define 'you', rather, they are tools under your mindful command.
