Am I really interested in the hateful far right or ignorant far left views of intellectually challenged people suffering from Dunning Kruger Effect?
Am I desperate for people's approval and validation in shape of their 'Likes' for my posts?
Do I really want to participate in this pointless and mindless shouting contest?
Does Facebook bring any happiness in my life?
Does Facebook add to my knowledge, awareness, information or wisdom?
Do I really want to share every aspect of my life online?
Do I want to be manipulated by sophisticated algorithms, for which evolution has not prepared us?
Does Facebook cater to my needs for knowledge and intellect?
Well, in my case the answer to all these questions was a big fat 'NO'. So I deleted my Facebook account permanently and I feel great about it :-)

Some great alternatives...
A great place to exchange knowledge, ideas and information. No matter whatever is your interest, there is a sub-reddit dedicated to it. It was Reddit, not Facebook, that provided me with all the information that lead me to lose 40 kg, start mindfulness, quit smoking, alcohol, antidepressants and greatly improve several aspects of my life.
